Peer Review Week 2021

2021-09-20

It’s the first day of Peer Review Week 2021, focusing on “Identity in Peer Review.” Peer Review Week is a yearly global event celebrating the essential role that peer review plays in maintaining scientific quality. The event brings together individuals, institutions, and organizations committed to sharing the central message that good peer review is critical to scholarly communications.

Along with this year's focus on Identity, we also want to take the time this week to thank and celebrate the reviewers who donate their time and energy to evaluate the high-quality papers that appear in our journal. Their support, commitment, and expertise maintains the unfailing scientific rigour that defines our publication.

We encourage our readers to learn more about Peer Review Week here. You can also follow and join the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #PeerReviewWeek21 and #IdentityInPeerReview.

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for the journal and being part of this integral part of our scientific community, please visit our Reviewer page to see the necessary qualifications as well as the benefits to joining the publication in an active role.

Thank you again to all our current reviewers, and we hope you find this week to be engaging and informative.
