Author Biography

Howard Sapers, Visiting Professor, University of Ottawa, Department of Criminology, Former Correctional Investigator of Canada, Ottawa, ON

Howard Sapers was the Independent Advisor on Corrections Reform for the province of Ontario. Between 2004 and 2016 he was the Correctional Investigator of Canada. Mr. Sapers is a Visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa Department of Criminology and an Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University’s School of Criminology.  He currently serves on the Ryerson University Department of Criminology Advisory Council and is member of the Board of Trustees at Toronto’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
